Roger Caddell, AiM Sports National Training Manager, covers the User Defined Reference Laps feature in this live webinar. The session also covers lap timing in general, then predictive lap timing, including how to create predictive reference laps with Race Studio 3, how to import and export the laps, and how to transmit predictive reference laps between Race Studio 3 and AiM devices. Predictive lap timing is shown using an AiM SmartyCam 3 video from Watkins Glen, with predictive lap results recorded as a graphic in the video as a representation of what the driver sees while using predictive lap timing. The close looks at track temperature sensor data installed on the race car and how track temperatures change, especially when the car crossed a shaded area of the track.
