Sprockets are compared for 428 chain (pitch 1/2 inch, roller diameter 0.335 inch, roller width 5/16 inch, sprocket thickness 0.284 inch) versus ANSI #40 chain (pitch 1/2 inch, roller diameter 5/16 inch or 0.3125 inch, roller width 5/16 inch, sprocket thickness 0.284 inch); mixing them can bind the chain. Bike specs are motor ME-1003, Alltrax 7245 controller, LiFePO4 70AH batteries at about 80V, custom BMS, 110/70-17 front tire, 150/60-18 rear tire, 428 O-ring chain, 15T front and 55T rear gearing, about 100 km range and 130 km/hr top speed, with a first ride planned tomorrow at a brisk 5 degrees.
