Could the kart hop be my driving style?

Passing depends on the kart staying planted once you are committed mid-corner. Mine hops there enough that I cannot really lean on it, and I do not think quieter hands are automatically the first change. If it is already pushing on the way in, less steering just delays rotation. I want to know whether that hop is the inside rear unloading when I ask for more front, or whether I am simply overdriving. What do you change first in that situation?

You can't tell an unloading inside rear from overdriving while those seat struts are still on. On a 206 at this height the first check is to take them off, because that extra stiffness is what hops the kart once you commit, not your hands. A taller driver can lean the upper body and still work the inside rear, so rotation does not go away. Changing your hands first just hides the hop for a corner and does not answer the question.
