This was the first time driving anything besides a rental kart, on Bushnell Motorsports Park grand opening weekend in Bushnell, FL. It was also the first time on race slicks, so it took a few laps to learn that those tires need heat before they can be pushed. There was a lot of understeer because the tires were old and corded by the end of the session. Power was similar to the rentals, yet the kart felt much faster and more fun. This was the first shakedown after the kart was built from an old used chassis: an old CRG with a Briggs LO206 engine.
