Trying to win mom over on starting Karting

yeah mom is the one i gotta get past if i want to start karting. dad dont mind but she only puts money on stuff that has a use like a tractor that actually cuts hay. how do you even show her racing isn't just burning cash, maybe if she saw a race she would get it?
