yeah pretty much looking at what team owners even want from a privateer before they'll help you go pro. you can't keep covering the whole bill yourself once it starts adding up, idk what they actually look at results or how you keep the kart. a setup that looks half dead is like a tractor that wont start, nobody wants to put money on that.

In karting there are very few genuinely funded professional seats. A large share of the drivers who look like team drivers are still paying for the seat. What decides whether anyone helps a privateer is not the trophy count. Partners buy reach, and they will only spend if that is a better use of marketing money than the ads they already run.
A polished proposal will not carry a thin relationship. If you cannot show how their spend grows their business, you are asking for a gift, and team owners do not run gifts. The neglected kart is the other filter, and it is not cosmetic. An outfit that looks unfinished tells them you will be a reliability and image problem on race weekend, so they will not attach a seat, leftover budget, or their name to it. The operation has to look like it can take help as leverage, not as a rescue, before anyone will move you toward a professional drive.
