How do you repair a Road Rash frame?

Heat pull wrecks a frame if you fill slide gouges with weld. Stitch it and cool between or the frame warps. Do you still have to chase alignment on thin stuff? Grind the high spots first so you don't pile on as much metal. Or just leave the scars if they aren't cracked.
