Do engine builders actually matter in Lo206?

What decides a Lo206 weekend is not the stamp on the block. The class already locks the major parts, so a builder is mostly selling assembly quality and how the engine holds over a heat and a final. I think treating that choice like an open-class decision is the common mistake. Clutch condition, gearing, and a chassis that will not rotate will hide any legal difference long before the stopwatch cares who rebuilt it. Has anyone seen a clear result with two motors on the same chassis and setup, or are we assigning credit that belongs to the driver?
