all about Helmets and suit

Been looking at what actually gets checked on a helmet before I spend anything on a suit. tracks want a real rating not just something that looks like racing gear and ngl a cheap one that doesnt fit right is kinda useless anyway. does the suit even need to be fireproof for karts or is that just cars?
